San Antonio is awesome! If you ever get the chance to visit, come here! The River Walk is Amazing, and the Alamo…if you are a history nut like myself, it’s epic!
So, I read a bit on my flight, reading “In The Margins” and between flying and landing in and visiting and enjoying much of the city…as you would expect…not a lot of time to read!
However, I was able to get to page 150 (about a quarter of the way through the book) and this is a classic case for reading in the margins. You pick a book, you find yourself on vacation (not a beach reading vacation) and between touring around and doing stuff, you find yourself tired at night with little time to read. THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHAT I’M TRYING TO SAY. The excuse to read because of no time is weak. You can read. Nobody said it had to be the entire book. Read 10 pages a day! Heck, read ONE page a day if that’s what it takes. Just read.
So I was able to get in just under 100 pages read while at the Alamo…reading a book ON the Alamo! 🙂
The experience was surreal. I’m getting back ground information about the place and living in the book and bringing the place to life around me! Loved it!
More to come as I inch my way through this Historical Fiction Classic!
And for all you WWII History Buffs…The only thing that would have made it better is if I had a Spitfire down here with me! Now…that’s living right there!
